Signal Hill is located on the West side of the city of Calgary. It also contains the residential neighbourhoods of Sienna Hills and Signal Ridge. Sarcee Trail, 17th Ave, Glenmore Trail surrounds this community making it easy to access the West side of the city and Downtown Easily. Westhills Towne Centre, Signal Hill Centre, Westmarket Square (Sunterra West) and Signature Park Plaza serve the community. Also Sirocco CTrain Station, and 69 Street Southwest station (Blue Line) connect the community to downtown and can transfer to other stations, giving this neighbourhood a higher walk score.
Battalion Park overlooks Tsuu T'ina Reserve. The area was a military reserve prior to WWI for the Canadian Forces, the numbers on the hill correspond to the four battalions of the Canadian Forces who trained in that area before leaving to fight in World War 1.
Schools in Signal Hill include Battalion Park School (K-6), and nearby Ernest Manning High School (10-12). Nearby Catholic Schools include St. Gregory School (6-9).
